Where's the best place to ride in the North Adam's area? I'll be there during the week of Christmas. I'm excited to check out what riding in the northeast is all about, I understand you guys have some great places to ride. I live in the Seattle area and frequent Whistler quite a bit as well as western Canada but I'd like to check out something new.
Do any bike shops in the area rent decent bikes?

Hopefully we will be buried in 3 feet of snow and hiking Greylock for runs down Thunderbolt
Otherwise head south to Lenox MA and ride Kennedy Park/Yokum Ridge or October Mountain. About 30 to 40 minutes away. THis is more XC type of stuff. The best area's in the Northeast for more tech and "Freeride" will be under snow.
Stowe/Waterbury VT is by far my favorite NE spot, but it is all white in VT.
If you are willing to drive a little longer Nepaug CT has some great riding.
Check www.bikerag.com for the 411.
I'm sure there is something closer to you in North Adams, search for local bike shops and give 'em a shout for rental info and local trails.
Good Luck!

Try posting this on www.bustedspoke.com. I know there are some western Mass guys that post on there often.
