Spacers to adjust head angle?

We've all used spacers under the stem to push the handlebars up.

But does anyone make spacers that go on the bottom of the steer tube, on top of the crown but under the lower headset bearing race? This would let you raise the front end of your bike and decrease the HT angle without buying a longer fork.

You would loose the taper at the bottom of the stearer tube to press your head set lower race on.

If we are adressing this with Dual Crown forks it is usually a better idea to have a drop upper crown and lower the tubes for a slacker angle....of course only to a point then you have to much leverage out on the fork legs and the fork might not be designed for that. Many forks have lines on the tubes showing how far the crowns can be moved on teh forks safely.

if you are talking single crowns I would caution to messing with the head tube junction....they seam to have a tough time as it is surviving :) If you have a 1.5" headset you might be able to mess with the reducer cups to creat a taller/longer bottom essentially doing the same thing.......

or you might jsut get a longer travel fork to to handle the terrain that you would desire a slacker head angle for.
