i`m planning on moving to vancouver from the uk next year. after a bit of advice from the guys on the dh forum i`m probably gonna look at the port moody area.. any advice/comments greatly appreciated :)

Mocha, Universe, and Roasted are our resident Northern posters. I saw rosted helped out in the other thread. Mocha and Universe used to live in N van, but now live on vancouver island.

I cant help much, except that it sounds like a great plan!!

I posted in your DH thread. Most of the advice they gave you is fairly accurate. You asked how easy it was to find work, but I don't remember reading what kind of work you'll be looking for.

My sister lives in VAncouver.

The mass transit is very good up there. My sister's never owned a car and never really needed to. Great schools. North Van is way nice but very expensive, IMO.
