Help!! lockring stuck

I'm running single speed on a XT hub with the gusset single speed convertion, the other day while riding either the gear started spinning on on the cassette body, or my hub is just not working right. I only does it occasionally. Tonight i was trying to remove the lock ring so that i could diagnose the problem. The lock ring is stuck!!! I actually just broke my chain whip doing it! Has anyone ever had this problem? also does park warranty there tools(it's a SR-1) ?

Park has a good tool warrenty, I'm not sure about the chainwhip in particular, though.

Go find a vice and a chain you don't care about. Stand the wheel up on its side, wrap the chain around the cassette, and clamp the chain down in the vice. That will let you get as much leverage as you want on the lockring.
