ok so i recently discovered that im not to into djs or the like but i really like doing dh on a ht so ive been running my shiver dc on it. now i think this forks huge on here so my buddy offered to sell me back my old 04 jr t that he upgraded w/ super carts. for 200. should i take it or jus leave the shiver on?

if it feels tall then JR t it for sure. spec if it has the HSCV in it.

If the bike is a tankass, then the shiver will feel at home, pretty much any other frame will be a little raked out with the shiver, but then again if you are super used to riding the HT with the shiver then switching may be a little bit of a bad idea..

Just get a fs frame and keep the shiver, and have a bike thats good for something. :thumb:

haha no i had a bighit and im selling it thats y i have this set up this way. and i like how much stiffer the dc forks are then the shiver sc i have. im looking at getting a gemini frame before next season so i can run that for races and all. i think dh on a ht is alotta fun though. it def makes u apreciate your rear shock

Fair enough, if the fork is going back to a DH bike after the off season I would say keep the shiver for sure. I should mention that an SC shiver is FLEXY in the extreme, theres many other sc forks out there that are much much stiffer. Inverted single crowns forks have an inherent disadvantage over non-inverted forks in that they lack an arch, which adds alot of stiffness. If youre a zoke fan check out Z1's or the new 66, but Shermans, and the new Rockshox Pike are very stiff as well (just got to mess with a Pike this week, initially feels very smooth and very stiff, we'll see if rockshox got it right on this one). Even a psylo would be stiffer than the shiver SC, but I wouldnt recommend one as Ive had very bad luck with durability. IMO, the new generation of single crowns should be stiff enough for just about anything you can do on a hardtail, unless youre some crazy hardtail cliff hucker.

well i talked to the buy and he ses hell trade me the shiver sc plus like 100 for the fork wch is a killer deal ne ways. so i think im gonna do it.
