View Full Version : An M-203 or something else?
Interesting... a Colt Commando(?) with a grenade launcher... would this M16 variant still be considered an M-203?

The M-203 is just the name for the grenade launcher itself, not the entire gun becuase it has a luancher on it. But the launcher still looks like a standard 203 to me. Maybe a tad shorter to compensate. I'll just call it the 204.

Hum... I seem recall when the grenade tube was mounted to the M-16 the entire weapon was called a M-203.

Its a standard M-203C launcher. Not cut down.
It would be officially designated as an M-XX w/ M-203 grenade launcher. However, it usually ends up being called the grenade launcher or M203 because its a given that the rifle is attached.
Ah.... I used to love to get an M-203 rigged M16 when having to qualify. The extra weight on the barrel always seem to make the rifle shoot much better.

it's an m-4 with an m-203 attached. what's the mystery?
Anyone notice the little keypad on the side of the barrel? Is that some laser range finder?
Yeah it looks like an M4 with a M203, no mystery there.
