I've seen a lot of areas/regions have biking clubs. I know the NE has NEMBA, but that's pretty large - I was thinking about something smaller, geared more for central NY riders. The obvious would be a place for us to discuss trail conditions, trail work, upcomming rides/races, etc. Could be for roadies or mtbers... whoever, just so long as they ride (we could probably grandfather Stosh in). Might also be a good way to spread the word about issues between riders and towns/DEC, trail closeurs, etc.

Anyone have any interest in something like this? I know I belong to a local club, but our focus is pretty much 2 counties wide (broome and tioga).

Thoughts?

Dunno about how big of an area it covers but there is C.N.Y. D.I.R.T. based in syracuse CNY DIRT (http://bikeloft.com/site/page.cfm?PageID=34)
