First off, i don't like the taste. Peanuts are far better.

Second off, I got hit by a walnut in the chest by my stupid friends. This wouldn't be so bad except that they shot it out of my potato cannon. It can shoot walnuts at 350 feet per second. I had a bruise covering my entire left chest for weeks. That sucked. It actually didn't really hurt at all, but the bruise was VERY disconcerting.

The 4th of July ride I went on last year was awesome. Everybody showed up with their beater bikes, hell bent on riding into every last swimming hole we hit. We rode into a lot of ponds that day.

That ride was my favorite day of biking ever. Get up at 3 30 AM, meet at 4 AM, then ride till 6, have a BBQ breakfast, ride till 10, have a BBQ lunch, ride till 12, have a BBQ lunch again, Ride till 2, have another BBQ, then ride home at 5 and have another BBQ.

While we're on the topic of Tom Petty here, I just found the remains of what looks to have been a gopher in my backyard. This thing is just like a frozen piece of rotting flesh. Let me get to the point. What sort of sauce should I use to marinate it when I throw it on the grill? I was thinking A1, as I use it for most every tough meat. But then I was thinking a gopher teryaki would taste supreme.

I can't stand wearing a rashy under my wetsuits. It looks like I might be going longboarding this weekend. We're getting some good winter swells. I hear two weekends ago got up to double overhead, breaking clean too. This is my first year surfing, and it is a BLAST! Still can't stand up on a short board though, but I'm content on the longboard for now. Haven't been able to surf in months cuz of my rotator cuffs, but they're feeling burl now.

On a good surfing weeked here the good spots are more crowded than one would think. Up in Hampton you've got people actually fighting over waves in the winter.

Looks like we're getting snow this weekend too. I'm stoked to use my new winter suit. Built in hood and booties. Booyah. I wish I lived closer to the coast though, too much of a drive.

Hey Amateur I often go for a swim in the bay after work ....it's a good way to unwind I find
the water in there is usually of late about 18deg C ( 65deg F).
I swim across the bay and back ...about 900 meters or so

The surf was crap yesterday ( varied from 2ft to out of control 8ft ).
but I won a bottle of chardonay for my efforts. (last year I got a bottle of vodka for the best wipeout ( a 6ft over the falls roll bowl & a*shole).

This years winner took a bad late drop and fell top to bottom on a triple over head, went over the falls snaped his leash, snaped his board, got a blood nose & black eye from going face first into the sandbar!!! :eek: and had the rash vest ripped off him while getting belted around. and then coped the rest of the 8ft set on his head (3 waves ) before he could get the hell out of the inpact zone. :(
He really deserved every last drop of that vodka and then some!
