In the search for a new Religious argument, er, I mean debate;
Given that some Christians feel the Old Testament is not fully superceded by the New Testament & Christ's teachings, yet others feel that Christ was a Jewish teacher (or Rabbi 'with authority') whilst the Jews see him as an imposter, how do we reconcile this?
And when will the Temple be rebuild?
And will that trigger Armageddon (maybe Mack will get his wish and a whole lotta free glass)?

The Hebrew there is S'mikah for the word authority.
And when will the Temple be rebuild?
Not a clue when that will happen.

Probably...........

You don't. That is why there is more than one religon.

Ah, but my point is that some (at least one) Christians claim that Christ was a Rabbi with S'mikah (thanks Andyman :thumb: ) but also acknowledge that the Jews crucified him because he claimed to be the Son of God. I don't see how these Christians can reconcile that, let alone multiple religions.

Although it is near impossible to "prove" anything from that time period. In general, mainstream historical accounts deem that statement false over and over again.

Its not something they have a choice in, now is it. :D They just kinda have to deal

What is there to reconcile? Where does it say you can't be a rabbi and the Messiah?

It's getting damn near impossible to "prove" anything from last week. The penchant for revisionism means truth becomes more relative every day...

Maybe. But what Rob says still has a good amount of truth to it. Just look at the sources...
