View Full Version : no more halloween, it's offensive to witches.
ahahahahaha.
talk about living in the land of pvssys.
"The district says Halloween celebrations and children dressed in Halloween costumes might be offensive to real witches.
"Witches with pointy noses and things like that are not respective symbols of the Wiccan religion and so we want to be respectful of that," said Hansen.

Why do religious people always take themselves so seriously
(and for those of you who think I'm "religion bashing" or something, this comment was pointed to the 'wiccans' who can't have a little fun and are offended by a childish portrayal of they have historically been seen to be.)
Same opinion of  goes for the lack of celebrating winter hollidays, springtime holidays and more.....people just don't believe in having fun anymore

I used to slap wiccans' books out of their hands in high school. I guess their curse finally got around to me in the form of cancelling the fun
Jr_B - I don't think it's the wiccans that are doing this. it's the pvssy as$ school administrator. he/she may be wiccan though, I don't know.
what about those that aren't religious? they better start removing the crosses from churches because someone might get offended. those are there everyday, not just one day out of the year, like halloween.
when is July 4th going to no longer be celabrated because it is offensive to american indians?
what about christmas? someone might get offended by the stupid decorations in stores, the crappy songs and the jerk that rings the bell out front.

Sorry PNJ - you're probably right....but I did hang out with the black lipstick crowd in high school, and somewhat in college (though in college we were more into pot and free love then black lipstick)...the one thing that stuck with me was how "serious" everyone always was and how "offended" they got if others didn't quite understand, or wore a witch costume come halloween....
Same can be said about most religions - there's always a few zealots out to ruin the fun for the rest of us who'd rather laugh our way through life :D

Someone should tell this the school administrator that there is no such thing as a real witch, no matter that some people fancy them selves to be one.
What next, plastic fangs and cheap capes are offensive to real vampires?

Bahahahaha..... real witches :stupid:
what is funny to me is, those that get offended by others actions, but don't think their own actions are offensive.
for instance, the Mrs. Churchy who puts images of christ (even though it says "though shalt have no graven images....) but is offended by someone who puts up images of their own beliefs.
again, halloween is ONE day out of the year.
I'm offended by people that get offended. :D

This is my favorite holiday of the year, period. If I offend people on Halloween, it's alright, they offend me all the other days of the year. :)

Opie says Halloween celebrations and children dressed in canine (eg. Scooby-doo) costumes might be offensive to real bitches.
We don't want to offend any of my ex-g/fs.

My kids would damn well be going to school in a witch costume that day. If they got sent home, so be it.

Or you could show up to their school dresses as a witch.

Maybe they should go to school dressed as overweight, bespectacled, hemp-clad flake-women with tons of gaudy jewelry instead of 'witches...'
